Home/School Worker

Hi there,

My name is Su Turner and I am the Home School Worker here at Penn Hall School.  My role is to support the parents and carers of our students and also to be a link between school and home.

I am here to offer support and advice to all of you.

​This could include:

• Guidance and signposting to professionals, services and providers.
• Advice regarding benefits and grants.
• Practical help completing forms e.g. Personal Independence Payment forms, Education, Health and Care Plans or Housing Application forms.
• Good old-fashioned emotional support and a listening ear.

Many of you will be aware that I have a grown up son with severe learning and mobility difficulties… so there are not many situations, both at home and in school that I’ve not come across!

​I currently work 2 days per week in school. If I am not around you can either leave a message on the answer phone or phone the main school number and they will take a message. I will get back to you as soon as I can.

​You are welcome to come and see me at school, or I am very happy to visit you at home.
