Wolverhampton Mayor visit

We were delighted to welcome Councillor Craig Collingswood, Mayor of Wolverhampton, to Penn Hall School for a special visit that celebrated our pupils, staff, and wider school community.

The Wolverhampton Mayor visit gave us a fantastic opportunity to share what makes Penn Hall unique – a warm, caring ethos where every child is known, valued, and supported to achieve their personal best.

Seeing specialist support in action

During the visit, Councillor Collingswood spent time meeting students and staff and seeing the Sedgwick service in action. The Mayor also spoke with members of our team about the specialist provision and personalised pathways that help pupils build confidence, communication, and independence.

Supporting families through partnership

A key part of the Wolverhampton Mayor visit was learning more about the wraparound support available to families at Penn Hall School. The Mayor was particularly interested in the work of our community nurses and the clinics they run within school, which help families access the right support at the right time.

We were also proud to see our students take a lead role in welcoming our visitor. A special thank you to our student guides, Charlie, Jessie and William, who represented Penn Hall brilliantly and helped showcase school life with confidence and pride.

We are grateful for the kind words and positive feedback shared following the visit. It was a real boost for everyone involved and a reminder of the impact our community makes every day.

We would be delighted to welcome Councillor Collingswood back to Penn Hall School again in the future.
